Removing the Rear Bumper of the Polo

Let’s look at removing the rear bumper of a VW Polo (if damaged or for other maintenance). Open the tailgate. Remove the covers behind the rear lights, then take out both rear lights to remove the bumper. Unscrew the screws at the bottom of the bumper and the screws in the two wheel arch liners. Detach the plastic clips at the front of the bumper until it is free from the car's body. Remove the number plate lights. Refit the bumper after performing maintenance inside or replace it with a new one.
