Replacing the Number Plate Light on a Volkswagen Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK III, Polo III, Polo 3, MK 3, 6N - Years 1994-2003

Position your car (in this case, the Volkswagen Polo) on a ramp or flat surface to ensure safety and stability for any maintenance operation. The number plate lights are located at the bottom of the bumper. Open the rear boot lid and, using a screwdriver, extract the small light unit from its housing. Disconnect the electrical supply and rotate the small electrical socket counterclockwise, which also incorporates the bulb holder. This gives you access to the bulb, which is easily replaceable. Refit everything and repeat the process for the other light.
