Replacing Headlight Switch on Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

Set the switch to "zero" and push it back (towards the dashboard). When it is in, turn it slightly to the right and you will hear a click: at this point, you can pull it out. Disconnect the connector by pressing on the lever. Install the new switch (costs less than £20 online) by connecting the connector and inserting it. Finally, while holding it firmly in place, rotate it counterclockwise and let it go: if you have followed the procedure correctly, the switch will be in place. This is a very simple operation that takes very little time, and you obviously do not need to go to a garage.
