Replacing the Key Remote Battery for Volkswagen Golf Mk4

This guide shows how to disassemble and replace the battery of the remote key for a Volkswagen Golf fourth generation. First, take the remote in hand and use a very thin lever to open the remote into two parts, as shown in the video; then, pry off the rear cover to access the battery. At this point, remove it and replace it with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2032 3V); simply insert it the correct way round and reassemble by applying the reverse procedure of disassembly!
