Fuel Pump Replacement

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

The fuel pump is submerged in the tank and can be accessed from inside the cabin by removing the rear seat. Once removed, you can reach the protective cap of the pump secured with three screws. Remove the cap, disconnect the connector, detach the supply and return hoses by pressing the locking tab; unscrew the retaining ring of the pump and extract it along with the bucket and float (check the condition of the tank for contamination to determine if it needs to be removed for cleaning).
Transfer the float from the old pump to the new one and proceed in reverse for installation.
