Replacing the Battery on a Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B7 - Years 2010-2014

Open the bonnet. The battery is located on your right, facing the vehicle, inside a sort of bag that you can open. Start with the negative terminal: undo the small bolt that holds it in place and disconnect it. Then repeat the process on the positive terminal. Completely remove the bag for better access. At this point, extracting the battery will be straightforward: you just need to undo the bolt at the bottom of the battery that secures it. Once done, pull it out. Insert the new battery and proceed in reverse for reassembly.
