How to Remove the Lock Actuator from a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Door lock

Before starting, open the door of your Volkswagen Golf. Begin by removing the door panel by unscrewing the screws that secure it, and then unclip the retaining clips. Once done, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the inner door panel and disconnect the relevant electrical connectors before removing the panel itself. At this point, remove the window by simply unscrewing the fixing bolts and then extracting it. Once you have completed this step, unscrew the screws that secure the lock actuator, then remove the actuator itself, and the disassembly will be complete.
