Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf 5, Golf V, MK 5 - Years 2003-2008
Part: Instrument cluster
Operation: How to remove the instrument cluster of a Volkswagen Golf

Before we can start, we will have to go and sit in the driver's seat of our Volkswagen Golf, and then remove the steering wheel. So let's start by disengaging and removing the upper steering column cover, using a flat screwdriver and prying. By doing so, we will have reached the bolts that secure the instrument panel to the dashboard, which we will have to unscrew and remove. At this point, we can go to extract the instrument panel from its housing, and then disconnect the rear plugs. When we have completed this last step, we will be able to definitively remove the instrument panel, and we will have successfully completed the disassembly.
