How to Remove the Instrument Cluster from a Volkswagen Golf

Before you begin, sit in the driver's seat of your Volkswagen Golf and remove the steering wheel. Start by prising off and removing the upper cover of the steering column using a flathead screwdriver. This will expose the bolts securing the instrument cluster to the dashboard, which you need to unscrew and remove. At this point, you can extract the instrument cluster from its housing and disconnect the rear plugs. Once you have completed this last step, you can finally remove the instrument cluster, successfully completing the disassembly.
