How to Operate Adaptive Cruise Control

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

On most cars that use adaptive cruise control, it is activated simply by pressing a button; however, on some Mercedes cars, it is activated by pulling a lever. On the Volkswagen Golf, the button in question is the "set" button located on the steering wheel to your left. Pressing this button will maintain the speed the car was travelling at that moment: if you want to increase or decrease this speed, press the vertical arrows. If the cruise control is adaptive, it means it will automatically slow down if the car in front of you is travelling at a lower speed.
