Replacing the Remote Battery on Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B7 - Years 2010-2014

Press the designated button to release the manual key, which will pop out from its housing in the remote. Next, remove the small cover near the "Volkswagen" logo by hand. Voila! You now have the small battery in front of you. It is a CR2032, which you can remove by prying it out from underneath with a small flathead screwdriver. To purchase it, you can easily find it at any hardware store or large supermarket. Simply insert it back into place, ensuring it is securely fitted, and reassemble the remote. Check that it works correctly.
