Replacement of Gear Shift Knob

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

The replacement includes not only the knob but also the leather gaiter covering the lever and the fixing frame. The replacement is very simple: just unclip the leather gaiter from the base and turn it upwards to expose the metal retaining clip; then unclip the clip with pliers (it can also be cut as usually a new one is included in the kit) and pull the knob upwards. Insert the new knob orienting it correctly, attach the retaining clip and reposition the covering gaiter ensuring the frame adheres along the edges.
