Removing the Door Panel on a Volkswagen New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 3 - Years 2011-2018

Remove the central handle cover by prying it out with a plastic wedge, and unscrew the two screws underneath. Next, unscrew the three screws that secure the panel from below. Then, using the plastic wedge, pry around the panel to detach it. Once removed, disconnect the cables. Now that you have the panel off, you can work on the lock, the handle, or the window motor. For reassembly, follow the steps in reverse. The removal of the door panel is a similar procedure on many car models.
