Operation: Removing the door panel on Volkswagen New Beetle

Remove the protection of the central handle, levering it into the slot with a plastic wedge, and unscrew the two screws below. At this point unscrew the three screws that fix the panel from below. Then, again with the plastic wedge, help yourself by prying all around the panel and disassemble it anyway. Once removed, disconnect its cables. Now that you have the panel removed, you can work on the lock, on the handle, or on the window motor. Obviously, proceed backwards for reassembly. Removing the door panel is a similar process on many car models.
