How to Dismantle the Driver's Door Panel on the Volkswagen Touareg

Model: Volkswagen Touareg MK 1, 7L - Years 2002-2010

This guide shows how to dismantle the driver's door panel on the Volkswagen Touareg. From the door handle area, unscrew the two Torx screws; unscrew the Torx screws at the bottom of the door. Using a trim removal tool, pry the lower part of the door panel to detach the fastening clips. Lift the sides of the panel; to detach the top part, simply pry manually, being careful. At this point, without moving the detached panel too far away, disconnect the lock actuator cable and the electrical connectors related to the electric window switch and audio unit. The operation of dismantling the driver's door panel is now complete.
