How to Replace the Front Bulb of a Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

Before starting, open the bonnet. Then, on the left side, you will notice a cover that needs to be removed. To remove it, first unscrew two round covers using a flathead screwdriver, and then you can remove the underlying screws. Once the cover is removed, disconnect the air intake tube by simply pulling it out of its seat. When the tube is removed, you will have access to the bulb connector cover. To remove the cover, simply pull it out of its seat. After that, disconnect the connector from the bulb, which is also a snap fit. To remove the bulb holder and the bulb itself, use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry it out. This will have removed the bulb; to install the new bulb, simply follow the steps in reverse, and you will be finished.
