How to Replace the Remote Battery of a Volkswagen Touareg?

To replace the battery of the Volkswagen Touareg remote, press the button with the manufacturer's logo to release the key fob. Remove the key fob from its housing. Next, use a screwdriver to pry open the chrome covers on the sides of the remote. Under one of the chrome covers, you will find the compartment containing the battery. Once extracted, you can remove and replace the battery. After replacing the battery, reassemble all previously removed parts.
