How to Replace the Battery in a Volkswagen Touareg

On the 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, the battery is located under the front passenger seat. To replace it, move the seat all the way forward and lower the backrest for access. Remove the protective cover of the battery and disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive; proceed by unscrewing the straps or brackets that secure the battery to the seat, then extract it. Insert the new battery in the same orientation, re-tighten the brackets and terminals, connecting the positive terminal last. Replace the protective cover and return the seat to its original position.
