Operation: How to remove the exterior mirror of the Volkswagen Golf Mk4

The guide shows how to remove the exterior mirror of the Volkswagen Golf Mk4. The first operation consists in disassembling the finishing plastic of the handle, in order to reveal two fixing screws which must be unscrewed. On the side of the door that has the hinge, it is necessary to unscrew a screw present; the three Torx screws located on the bottom of the internal panel must also be unscrewed. At this point, with a plastic lifter, the fixing clips of the internal door panel must be removed; it is not necessary to disconnect the panel connections. Remove the fixing screw of the loudspeaker cover and move the insulating foam that protects the mirror bolt. With a Torx T30 screwdriver it is possible to unscrew the mirror fixing bolt; disconnect the electric cable of the mirror and discard the old piece. Reassemble the parts removed so far and check the correct functioning of the replaced part.
