How to Install a 2 Din Stereo in a Golf 5

Want to fit a 2 din stereo in a Golf 5? Let's look at removing the original stereo from the Golf 5. Remove (by prying) the plastic trim above the dashboard, and unscrew the screws underneath it. Once the upper plastic is removed, unscrew the plastic of the panel with the air vents using a screwdriver. Pull off the trim from the top and bottom of the stereo, and unscrew the securing screws around the perimeter of the stereo. Extract the stereo from the centre console, being careful not to damage the wiring. Connect the 2 din stereo to the electrical terminals and mount it in the panel with the associated screws and plastics.
