If the reverse light bulb on your Volkswagen Golf Mk4 is malfunctioning or not working at all, you must replace it to avoid safety issues and legal problems. First, park the car on a flat surface and turn off the engine.

Go to the rear, lift the bonnet, and remove the fabric side panel. Next, locate the electrical connector and disconnect it. Remove the bulb holder and replace the reverse bulb with a new one. Finally, reposition and correctly mount everything, reconnect the connector, and close the protective panel.
