To connect your smartphone to the Bluetooth radio in the Volkswagen Golf 6, turn on the instrument panel and navigate through the menu using the controls on the left side of the steering wheel. Once you reach the "Phone search" option, confirm with OK and turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone: then select your smartphone from the list that appears on the instrument panel display.

This way, the devices will be paired, and you will be able to use all the Bluetooth functionalities of the radio.
