In this tutorial, see how to replace the external mirrors on a Volkswagen Passat. First, remove the internal door panel. To do this, take off the two caps located under the handle, then unscrew the corresponding screws inside the holes. Next, pry along the edge of the panel with a spatula, unclip it from the door, and disconnect both the connector and the lock cable. At this point, remove the protective adhesive from the hole and unscrew the single fixing bolt of the mirror.
