Replacing the Window Regulator on a Volkswagen Passat B5

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

To replace the window regulator on the Volkswagen Passat B5, remove the door panel. Start with the handle by unscrewing the two screws that secure the entire panel. At this point, carefully detach the panel. Disconnect the connectors. Unscrew the intermediate panel that houses all the electrical contacts. Again, disconnect all the connectors. Now you can remove the window regulator motor. Disconnect all the wires and remove the corresponding connectors. Fit the new unit with its wires and connectors, reconnecting them. Reattach the intermediate panel by securing all the screws you removed earlier. Refit the inner panel. Slot it in and then replace the screws for the handle that hold it in place. Refit the handle cover and the job is complete.
