As shown in this tutorial, deactivating the passenger airbag in the Volkswagen Tiguan is a very simple operation. This procedure should be followed whenever a rear-facing child seat is placed in the right seat. First, switch off the vehicle and remove the key, then open the glove compartment and locate the switch on the right side. Next, insert the key into the slot, turn it clockwise, and set the selector to the "OFF" position. To reactivate the airbag, simply move the selector to the opposite position.
