Replacement of Cabin Ventilation Motor

Model: Volkswagen Transporter T25, T3, MK 3 - Years 1979-1990
Part: Heater core

The cabin ventilation motor is located just behind the centre console, and to access it, you need to remove the passenger side glove compartment. Open the glove compartment door and unscrew the screws along the inner edges and the side screws, both internal and external; then remove the glove compartment, disconnect the resistor connector that controls the fan speed, and extract it from its seat by unscrewing the fixing screw; detach the air ducts to easily access the motor and remove it by disengaging it from its seat with a small anti-clockwise rotation (you may need to manoeuvre a bit to extract it, possibly lowering the entire air duct, disconnecting the intake vent in the engine bay, and removing the lower part of the centre console). Then proceed in reverse for the installation of the new motor.
