How to Replace the Oil Filter and Engine Oil in a Volkswagen Sharan

In this video tutorial, see how to replace the oil filter and engine oil in a Volkswagen Sharan: the first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop. Next, remove the engine cover from its location; use a suitable socket to unscrew the oil filter, place the old filter in a container, and replace the cartridge seals. Position the new filter in the cartridge and screw the new filter into place. Lift the car with a hydraulic lift and place a container under the oil sump to collect the used oil. Unscrew the drain plug with a 19mm socket and wait for all the oil to drain into the container; re-screw the oil drain plug and lower the vehicle. Using a funnel, top up the oil, approximately 5 litres (refer to the vehicle's user and maintenance manual).
