How to Remove the Instrument Cluster from a Volkswagen Transporter T6

Let's see how to remove the dashboard of a Volkswagen Transporter T6: you will need a 20 mm screwdriver and a plastic trim tool. Start by pulling the steering wheel towards you to gain maximum access. Use the trim tool to remove the ventilation grilles around the radio. Continue removing the grille near the steering wheel using the same method. This will allow you to take off the instrument panel cover, which is only held in place by pressure. To remove it, you must also pull off the top part of the steering wheel, which is also held in place by pressure. Just press, and both will come off. To remove the actual instrument cluster, start by unscrewing the two screws located underneath with the 20 mm screwdriver. Now, gently pull towards you and disconnect the connectors. Job done.
