In order to replace the Volkswagen Golf 4 steering wheel, it is necessary to loosen the airbag fixing clips located in the rear part of the steering wheel: before carrying out this operation it is advisable to disconnect the battery to avoid unexpected activation of the airbag. Once the clips have been removed, the airbag connectors can be disconnected, removing it completely: when the airbag has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the central nut that fixes the steering wheel to the steering column, removing it completely. Then you can install the new steering wheel, connecting the airbag and securing it with the rear clips.
