To remove the steering wheel of the Volkswagen Golf 7, first remove the front airbag: rotate the steering wheel to one side and then the other to access the two side screws at the back. Unscrewing these screws will allow the airbag to be removed from its housing, and you can then disconnect the connector at the back, completely removing it. Now, unscrew the nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering column, fully removing it and replacing all removed parts with new spare components.
