In this video, it is shown how to disassemble the steering wheel of the Volkswagen Golf 4, in order to replace it in case of malfunction or if the steering wheel is too worn out. To perform this procedure, you need to pull the front cover of the steering wheel by leveraging certain points as shown in the video. Once the front cover is removed, you just need to remove the central steering wheel lock screw in order to then remove and replace the steering wheel. To remove the lock screw, a 55 key is required. It is advisable to pay attention to the steering wheel that you intend to install on your Golf, as if it does not make proper contact, it can produce noise and not function correctly.
