How to Remove the Steering Wheel of the Golf 4

This video shows how to dismantle the steering wheel of the Volkswagen Golf 4 to replace it in case of failure or if the steering wheel is too worn. To carry out this procedure, pull the front cover of the steering wheel by leveraging at certain points as shown in the video. Once the front cover is removed, simply remove the central locking screw of the steering wheel to then take off the steering wheel and replace it. You will need a 55 mm spanner to remove the locking screw. Take care when installing the new steering wheel on your Golf, as improper contact can cause noise and malfunction.
