How to Replace the Battery on a Volkswagen Passat?

If the car battery needs replacing, follow these steps: open the bonnet, the battery is located at the top of the engine bay under the upper cover on the right side. To access the battery compartment, lift the plastic protective cover. Once you have access to the battery compartment, disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal, then remove the battery from its housing and position the new one. Finally, reconnect the positive terminal first and then the negative, and close the compartment cover.
