Replacing the battery in the key fob of a Volkswagen Golf 8 is a very simple operation and requires no tools to proceed. Take the key fob and, using your fingers, pry open the battery compartment from the side where the car logo is located. At this point, use the tip of a small screwdriver to pry up the edge of the battery and then proceed to remove and replace it. Remember to use the correct battery model, in this case, a flat CR 2032 battery rated at 3V.
