Dismantling and Repairing Wiper Motor

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

The wiper motor is located just under the windscreen: to dismantle it, first remove the wiper arms. Then remove the seal from the edge of the plastic cover, take off the protective caps from the securing nuts of the arms, and unscrew them to remove the arms. Unscrew the screws securing the plastic cover and remove it to access the motor housing, then dismantle the respective securing pins, disconnect the power connector, and extract the mechanism. Once on the workbench, detach the arms from the control heads and pull out the outer shafts to clean and grease them; then proceed in reverse for reassembly using new arms complete with bushes.

While driving, if you notice the tyre pressure warning light coming on, first check the actual inflation pressure of the tyres and, if necessary, restore the pressures recommended by the manufacturer. After restoring the correct pressures, you need to reset the warning light that has illuminated on the instrument cluster. To do this, locate the reset button on the lower central console. Press this button and hold it down for at least 3 seconds, after which the low pressure indication will turn off.
