How to Reset the Service Light on the Volkswagen Golf 5?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Service warning light

To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Golf 5, press and hold the button located on the right side of the instrument cluster, which is labelled "0.0". Keep this button pressed while the instrument cluster is off; while continuing to hold it, insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster. Once the cluster is on, the Service light will turn off after a moment; at this point, you can release the button and turn off the instrument cluster.
