How to Reset the Climatronic on a Volkswagen Passat

To reset the Climatronic on a Volkswagen Passat, turn on the instrument cluster so that you can use the controls on the central dashboard panel. Once the cluster is on, press and hold the ECON button and the button with the icon of the arrow pointing towards the passenger's face simultaneously. You will notice that the temperature indicators of the dual-zone climate control will go dark; after a few seconds, the indicators will return to the previously set temperature, and the air conditioning will be correctly reset.
