How to Replace the Air Filter on a Volkswagen Sharan

If the engine of your Volkswagen Sharan Mk1 overheats easily and frequently, it is time to replace the air filter. Follow these steps. First, switch off the car and allow the engine to cool sufficiently. Then, lift the bonnet and locate the air filter box on the left side. Unscrew the screws holding the cover in place and then remove the cover. At this point, simply remove the old filter and replace it with the new one. Finally, refit the cover of the box and screw back the previously removed screws.
