To remove the climate control buttons from a Volkswagen Golf, use a tool to pry off the plastic panel surrounding the knobs: this will allow access to the screws underneath, which must be loosened. Once these screws are removed, extract the climate control panel from its housing to disconnect the connectors at the back. Then connect these to the new panel, which can be properly inserted and secured with the appropriate screws.
