This brief video tutorial shows the steps to replace the battery of the key fob for a Volkswagen Golf 7. It is a very simple operation; all you will need is a small screwdriver and a new battery. The battery required is a flat CR 2025 type, 3V. First, take the key fob in hand and use the tip of a small screwdriver to pry open the side slot until you detach the battery cover. Once the cover is removed, you will immediately see the battery, which you will remove using the screwdriver tip. Insert the screwdriver into the designated space and lever it out to extract the battery. Finally, replace the battery and reassemble the key fob.
