How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Vento

Model: Volkswagen Vento A3, MK 1 - Years 1991-1998

If you notice that the maintenance light (depicted with a small spanner) continues to flash when you turn on the instrument cluster of your Volkswagen Vento, despite having already completed the service, you will need to follow this procedure to reset it manually. First, press and hold the "0.0/Set" button located at the bottom centre of the cluster, and simultaneously turn on the ignition. Then, release the "0.0/Set" button and press the button to its left until the light reset is complete.
