How to Replace the External Wing Mirror

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Using a flat screwdriver, carefully remove the mirror from its housing. Once the glass is removed, disconnect the connector at the back of the new mirror and firmly snap it back into place using the palm of your hand to avoid accidental breakage of the glass.

The operation takes very little time and is quite simple; the only precaution is to avoid bending the mirror surface too much or chipping the glass with the screwdriver during extraction.

As with the Volkswagen Golf in the video, the procedure is valid for nearly all cars with electric mirrors.

How to Replace the External Wing Mirror on a Ford C MAX
