Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 6, A6 - Years 2010-2018
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, just below the glove compartment. Start by removing the two plastic screws that secure the sound-absorbing foam cover above the heel pad. At this point, you can access the cabin air filter housing. Remove the cover by sliding it sideways to the right, extract the old filter, ensure there are no dirt residues inside the housing, and insert the new filter (activated carbon type is recommended), following the airflow direction indicated by the arrows on the filter.
