How to Remove the Dashboard Plastics on a Volkswagen Passat?

To remove the dashboard plastics on a Volkswagen Passat, use a thin object as a lever to detach the trim above the radio and along the entire dashboard. Once this trim is removed, leverage to detach the plastic surrounding the gear lever, also removing the leather gaiter. At this point, you can unclip the clips that surround the entire plastic cover of the centre tunnel, disconnecting the underlying connectors as well. You can then detach the part that surrounds the radio and the climate control buttons, replacing everything with new spare parts.
