How to remove the lower dashboard on a Volkswagen Passat? Let's see how to proceed. Remove the trim around the stereo using a plastic lever (where the ventilation knobs are located), detaching it from the central dashboard. Remove the side plastics of the centre tunnel, unscrewing the securing screws located on either side. Remove the gear lever trim and take it off along with the knob (if you have trouble removing it). Extract the dashboard from above the centre tunnel and disconnect the wiring (power cables). To reassemble, reverse the disassembly steps.
