Releasing the Gearbox Lock on a Volkswagen Tiguan

If the automatic gearbox of your Volkswagen Tiguan is stuck, it is certainly a very annoying problem. The vehicle remains immobilised, and there is no way to move it. You may need to call a breakdown service to resolve the situation. Fortunately, there is a method to unlock the gearbox that has somehow jammed. Lift the gear knob cover, as shown by the YouTuber in this very short video, and look for a yellow wheel on the right side. Use a small screwdriver to slide it down. This will unlock the gearbox and allow you to drive away.
