How to Turn Off the Maintenance Light on the 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan?

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016
Part: Warning light – error code

The procedure requires that the instrument cluster is initially off. If it is not, turn the key to the OFF position and switch it off. Now, press and hold the 0.0 button located on the right side of the dashboard while simultaneously turning the key to switch on the instrument cluster. Release the 0.0 button and press the button labelled MLM located on the opposite side of the dashboard, on the left, then switch off the instrument cluster. At this point, the maintenance light should be gone. To verify, turn on the instrument cluster and check if the reset was successful.
