Volkswagen New Beetle - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012
Part: Drive shaft
Operation: Removal and assembly of the rear axle.

Put the car above the bridge or, in any case, find a way to put it in a position where you can work under it. Find the axis to remove. Disconnect the brake cable. Now remove the shock absorbers from the top of them by unscrewing the bolts that connect them to the bodywork. Disconnect the oil supply to the brakes. Unscrew the bolts connecting the axle plate to the body. At this point we can disassemble the axis. We remove the wheels and the axle is almost ready to be mounted on the other car. You just have to fit the brake connection that exists in the other car. To carry out the assembly proceed with the same operations seen but carried out in reverse order. This is done on a VW New Beetle and an Audi TT.
