Removal of Rear Window Regulator Motor for Repair

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Start by removing the rear seat base, then using a ratchet spanner, unscrew the screws of the backrest that needs to be removed. Remove the screw on the side and lift the cover of the mechanism by disengaging the retaining lever, then remove the panel and the pillar cover using a plastic tool. Disconnect the sliding cable and remove the speaker support to access the underlying mechanism. Unscrew the retaining screw of the glass and then remove it from its seat, and using a ratchet spanner, unscrew the three bolts of the window regulator motor to extract it from above. Once the motor is repaired, proceed with the new installation in reverse order of the assembly operations. Check the correctness of the installation and make any necessary adjustments.
