The EPC light on a Volkswagen Golf 7 indicates that the engine requires a check. The light is accompanied by a series of malfunctions such as the car jerking when stationary, inability to move the rev counter, and noise interference.

But what to do if you are out of town? In an emergency, the EPC light can be turned off, although the problem will reoccur shortly after. In emergency situations, to turn off the light and get the car moving, you can turn on the ignition and start driving, then switch off the vehicle and immediately turn it back on. This will temporarily bypass the light for a few hours.

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?

Next, move to the front of the vehicle, lift the bonnet slightly, and find the second lever located just above the Volkswagen logo.
