Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
Golf 5, MK 5, Golf V
- Years 2003-2008 The EPC warning light stands for "Electric power control" and comes on whenever the control unit detects any electrical error. Often, on Volkswagen Golf, this error is sent by the engine to the control unit due to carburetion problems, so it is easy to reset this warning light by simply cleaning the carburetor or the throttle body with a special cleaning spray and the alarm will disappear. The better you clean up, the easier it will be for the spy to disappear. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery and leaving it disconnected for 10-15 minutes. Plug it back in and verify that the error is gone.
