How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo

To reset the service light on a Volkswagen Polo, start by turning on the ignition and noting the spanner symbol on the total mileage display. To reset it, press and hold the button to the left of the odometer while simultaneously turning on the ignition. The spanner symbol will appear on the display; keep the button pressed for a few more seconds, then release it. Rotate the button to the right to display the total mileage, and the reset is complete. Now you can turn off the ignition, turn it back on, and check that the spanner symbol is no longer present.
