On the Volkswagen Golf, the procedure to disable the Safe Lock is done by connecting a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port: this is located just below the steering column. After the scanner is connected to the port, select the car model and its corresponding version: for resetting the warning light, follow the instructions provided in the video.

Once the operation is complete, disconnect the scanner and finally switch off the ignition.
